Civitavecchia, Italy. Turn-around Port and A New Cruise Begins.

The Prinsendam arrived safe and sound and, as usual with a turn-around port, life for crew and staff has been hectic with the majority of guests leaving the ship and a new lot coming on board.

 Would you like anything to drink?

When our steward came to clean the cabin I asked him to do a basic 'whip-around' the cabin with a basic clean so that he could get his other duties done.  The poor chap's face was a picture of relief.  Being under pressure to get things done is one thing but to have to help with other duties on a turn-around port day just adds extra stress.  So the less he has to do in our cabin, the better.  

For Paul - it was all systems go as usual.  Port days are busy but even more so with a new intake of guests.
