Sea days and the Maasdam's engine room.

Over the last three days I have been trying to catch up on my blogs and back-dating them.  Fortunately I have a diary so I have been able to keep track of the days, and when I go on tours - I tend to make notes.

The one evening the captain invited us and a group of officers to a film evening when we watched "The Captain's Table" - a 1950's comedy.

Last night we hosted a games evening for a small group of staff to play 'Werewolf'.  Each player has an agenda.  As a villager - hunt down the werewolves; as a werewolf - convince the other villagers that you are innocent while secretly attacking those same villagers each night. Different special roles help both the villagers and the werewolves achieve their goals in attempt to save the village or destroy it.  In one role you could be a villager defending yourself; the next role you're a werewolf, framing your friends as the werewolves when really it's you who's a wolf.

By the end of the first game, our cabin's numbers had swelled to about 20 people - those who came late observed the game.  We managed to have a second round before heading to bed.  Unfortunately the clocks went forward 1 hour so it meant 1 hour less sleep in the morning.

In between it all Paul took a few staff members from the ship's infirmary for a tour of the Engine Room. One nurse brought his wife along as she wanted a peek too.  It made for a nice small group.  For a change the engine room was a bit cooler which was a relief.  Cooler weather outside the ship eventually has an effect on the inside temperatures.

Yes, there is a vacuum cleaner there ...

On board sewage farm! (and water leaning filters)

Don't fall through the hatch!
