Sea day. A peek into ship life.

I enjoy accompanying Paul on his rounds.

Giving the gel coat on the fibreglass boat a nice polish after
the paint has been scraped off.
Today I saw these guys working on one of the lifeboats.  The lifeboat was getting a layer of weathered paint scraped off and the gel coat on the fibreglass underneath got a nice polishing.  Only another 10 to go ... and the process takes ages ....

Safety is always a big thing on board.  Comical warnings seem to do the job.

Every now and then Paul touches base with the security department.  Here are 2 security guards and the security officer. Bringing booze on board?  Never a problem - they will confiscate it a smile and return it to you when you disembark the ship. 😊  Any wrong-doing?  They will investigate and in need - call port police to escort the offender off the ship.  All in a day's work ....
