Pago Pago, Tutuila, American Samoa.

It was hot and overcast in Pago Pago when we docked.  A good rain shower had given the island a nice soaking.  Despite the damp morning guests were only too happy to 'abandon ship' 😉 and head out for a bit of sightseeing.

Paul and I got off for a to have a wander around the small village, first making a beeline for the arts and craft stalls on the village green.  Unfortunately with all the rain, the village square/green on which the stalls were placed was very squishy.  There weren't many stalls this time, as during a previous visit, possibly due to the earlier downpour and more clouds looming.

It was too hot to wander around in the open without any shade so we didn't stay out very long and literally "hot-footed" it back to the sanctuary of the air-conditioned ship.  After a nice cold drink and a shower, we felt nearly human again.

The Maasdam's next port of call is Savusavu, Vanua Levu, Fiji.
