Naturist Walking - Day 2

I was out like a light last night, very tired from the walk, but it was good.  Everyone was very cheery when we went down for communal breakfast.  Being hardy walkers they seemed less stiff than us! We had to hobble down the stairs.  Breakfast was the usual continental type - bread, a variety of cheeses and cold meat, honey, jams and chocolate spread; as well as tea/coffee or fruit juice.

The day's 15km hike was about a 45 minute drive away, starting below Lake Schönbrunn, which is actually a dam.  The start of the hike involved an uphill walk to the top of the dam, and then around the 'lake'.  Fortunately the hike was not as tiring as yesterday's however we were very footsore by the time we finished.

Dinner was at a mountain hut "Triniusbaude" between Gießübel and Rennsteig. There was no parking at the property so we had to park the car and walk down a track to "Triniusbaude".  Although the place was smaller than yesterday's dinner venue, the owners were much more 'on-the-ball'; taking our orders and bringing our meals out quite quickly for the sizeable group.  Oh yes - there was an outside toilet at the restaurant, situated underneath an umbrella!  😜

As we were leaving the restaurant the owners asked the group if they could take a photograph of all of us outside, in the buff - they were quite chuffed to have a naturist walking group come through their doors!

Tomorrow will be our 3rd day of walking - usually the worst day for any unfit person.  We shall see how our legs feel in the morning!
