| Yesterday's menu - cooking on a spit |
Yesterday and today have been relaxing days, doing sweet nothing other than reading or floating in the lake on pool noodles. Wonderful! All good intentions to walk to the village went out the window - it was waaaay too hot. 😓
Today we had a nice thunderstorm - nature's concert! Fortunately we could see the clouds gathering and brought everything inside the tent and sealed it up just in time. Sound effects (thunder) and lighting (lightning) combined with a downpour made for quite a performance. We ended up sitting inside the tent reading. Twice the electricity failed but soon came back on again.

We had hoped that the rain die out by the time we headed to bed but it didn't so we walked in the rain to have a shower and brush our teeth, and then traipsed back in the rain. The rain was very welcome, cooling the hot earth; so much so that we have put our fan on to a warm setting briefly to heat up the sleeping compartment rather than the cool fan setting.
