After wasting 2 days getting the car fixed we decided to have a bit of 'down time', spending our last day at the campsite relaxing 😎. We also did some packing up, getting ready for leaving tomorrow. The more bits and bobs that weren't needed and can be packed away - the quicker we can leave in the morning.
At some stage during the day a German couple staying diagonally across from us came over to the tent bringing with them mugs of wine (They were the first couple we approached after we reported the theft, asking them if they had seen or heard anything). We think the wine Paul and the chap had was similar to that of sangria, and the lady and I had a sweet rosé. It was very kind of the couple. I don't speak German but Paul can speak and understand a bit so he managed to have some sort of conversation with them, with the occasional English word thrown in (or in my case - charade/ pantomime! 😶).
We went to the campsite's restaurant and had a nice meal. I had grilled calamari cooked with plenty of garlic and a dash of lemon juice. It was delicious but I decided not to be greedy by having a second helping. Paul had lasagna and was disappointed after he had polished off the plate - he could have done with more! He finished off the evening with a banana split and I had apfelstrudel.
The sky has become overcast now and it has started to rain 🌦. Lightning lights up the skyline and the thunder is very loud. I reckon the storm is directly above us. I hope it clears before morning!
