Sydney, Nova Scotia. A quick look in ... & out again 😢

Hello Sydney (photograph taken from the ship's forward camera)
Paul up again for a few hours during the night due to fog and was very tired when his alarm clock went off.

The day dawned, the clouds had lifted and it looked as if it was going to be a nice day.  Well, the Maasdam stuck her nose, er bow, into Sydney, turned around and left.

The wind was too strong to dock and we could have either been blown into the shallows or into the pier.  The harbour Sydney has not got any tugboats so that meant the Maasdam had no help with getting

positioned without being blown off course.  Looking at the ship's forward camera photographs - you can see the swell and how choppy the water is.  From the 10th deck up it doesn't look much but the lower you get towards the water - then you can appreciate the reality of it.

So the Maasdam headed back out to sea and we now we two days sailing ahead of us, slowly, to Bar Harbour.
