On the Road Again.

Somewhere in the Czech Republic, outside a village.

We left Berlin and took a winding route through the Czech Republic and back into Germany.  The part of the Czech Republic that we went through was lovely - moor-like land/heathland with plenty of walking and cycling tracks.

In Germany we ended up at a delightful hotel, Hotel Fichtenhäusel am Pöhlagrund, beside a river.  Its brightly coloured building seemed very welcoming to the weary traveller.  It is also a favourite stop for bikers.  We had dinner in the restaurant and were treated to the sight of a tiny model train bringing our drinks.  It ran along tracks along the sides of the restaurant.  One wall had one model train, the other side ran a different train - a model steam train, complete with whistles and the sound of steam.  It was very cute, so much so that it seemed to encourage guests to order more drinks just to see the train.  Apparently they have a couple of model trains and change them over regularly.

Our route but it took almost the whole day!
