Honolulu, Hawaii

The Maasdam docked in sunny Honolulu and there was the usual mass exodus of guests off the ship.

Paul had to see someone about his ears so I accompanied him to the clinic.  Just as well we went in a taxi – it was quite a drive to the other side of town.  The driver collected us when we were finished and we asked to be dropped off at a shopping mall near Waikiki beach.  Although it was a big mall, there wasn’t much in the way of shopping variety.  Clothes and shoes, clothes and shoes ….  We were looking for an electronics shop but didn’t find one so we gave up and took a walk back to the ship via the coastal road.  It took us about 45 minutes to an hour and we were just about melting when we arrived back on board.  One tends to forget how hot it is outside the ship because of the air conditioning.

Paul had to get back to work and I took a well-earned nap.  No gym for us this evening – we had our dose of exercise. 😊

Travelling to our next destination:  Kona, Hawaii
